Camp Charlie was inspired by my Grandfather Charlie. Some of my favorite childhood memories weren’t about extravagant vacations of elaborate plans - they were about being together. My grandfather looked for any excuse to gather his favorite people - family golf tournaments, tennis tournaments, Christmas parties, Olympics, boat trips from FL to NJ, calcutta parties… you get the picture. Charlie loved being surrounded by his family and friends and creating moments for those he loved to be together. When I dreamed about creating Camp Charlie, I wanted to create a plan where friends and families could experience that same feeling of connection. A place where kids become cousins-in-crime, grandparents stay up telling stories around the fire, friends laugh until midnight, and everyone leaves with memories they’ll talk about for years.
In a world that often feels busy and distracted, Camp Charlie is an invitation to slow down, be present, and make the most of the time we have together. Every detail - from the gathering spaces to the games, the camp-inspired touches, and the cozy places to unwind - was designed with one purpose: bringing people closer. We hope Camp Charlie becomes a part of every family’s story, just as Charlie has always been part of ours.
